What's in your kitchen? I don't have a lot of cabinets or counter space in my kitchen, but hey! it's enough! and I'm thankful for every inch! It's about working in the kitchen anyway! Ours is an eat-in kitchen, and I use the kitchen table for extra counter space. Steve made me a very long table that I was going to use as a workspace, but it went into the craft room/office. Much needed in there!
When I redo the kitchen, I'm going to put in apartment-size stove and dishwasher, and that will add a lot of countertop space. As long as I can bake a turkey at Thanksgiving, the oven should be big enough!
I have my Mother's roasting pan. It's a big one, so I'll have to make sure it will fit in that oven. Many a turkey was baked in that pan. When my son was little and we were visiting my parents for Thanksgiving, he found his way to that roasting pan with a baked turkey in it. My Mother got a photo of him feasting on it! oops! before presentation to the table! He was over one year old I think and walking, but not yet two. Fresh baked turkey ~ what a treat!
It won't be long until Thanksgiving, and I'm looking forward to the holidays, but really, I can enjoy my family and friends AND my kitchen any time. Kitchens ~ what a blessing!
